Clutch Moving Company

This was my first time using movers. Honestly, I don't understand how this company is sitting comfortably at 4.8 stars. The rating made me feel comfortable along with the quote I received, but there was nothing "clutch" about this move or my experience with some of the employees. I could have paid and supervised freelancers for far cheaper with better results and thats exactly what I'll do next time.

The customer service is nonExistent beyond the sales rep.

They misquoted me, botched my move, broke my bathroom window and charged me when their guys took an extra 30 minute break. I also ended up having to take off work early at 2pm to rent a uhaul last minute to move the rest of my belongings on my own. I had to call off work the following day as well because I didnt finish moving the items they were hired to move until 6am, since clutch didnt come prepared after overly communicating my needs to the reps.

I voiced my complaints of my move to a sales rep on the same day that my move was completed in August. During that call I also spoke with Mario, the operations manager, who claimed I would receive a credit for the 30 minutes but could not confirm the amount. He told me he'd call me back and that was at the beginning of August. Since then I've emailed the complaints department with photos of the damages, uhaul receipts, and a quote for the cost of the window, requesting to be reimbursed and each time I called the company, I would be reassured by a sales rep that a report was taken and that someone would get back to me. Its now September and I was finally able to get Marios contact information from a rep. When I called Mario, he was initially pleasant and somewhat understanding, but during our call, I pointed out some issues that were inaccurate and implored him to listen to the recordings of the calls, because they would substantiate my claims. Essentially Mario said "This is all I can offer you. We really dont have to give you anything, but I'm just doing this to make you happy. I really just want to just be done with this." When I tried to further the conversation he basically cut me off, told me to call back when I've made a decision and then hung up on me. I called him back and asked him why he hung up. I'm the one that should be pissed off but I'm not yelling at you, I'm not cursing at you... he cuts me off again and I say "look man Im actually in the city for a training, I'm just going to have to show up at the front door because..." he cuts me off and starts screaming at me at the top of his lungs through the phone "Come out here then! I want you to!" So once again I called clutch, described my issue wit Mario to a rep and asked to speak to an owner or someone above him. I was consoled and was told Id receive a call back before end of business day. Still nothing. Im done. I've been cool, respectful and level headed with these guys because I can empathize with the load of work they've got as I also work in customer service. But, Im tired of waiting and at this rate, with the disrespect, intimidation and blatant disregard to the damages and reimbursement request I'm just going to take this to small claims.

Avoid this moving company from San Francisco. This review is long overdue because I just wanted to put the bad experience behind me, However my experience with this company was so bad that it just kept nagging at me.

I moved from California to Arizona. Clutch Moving sent the most irresponsible movers who didn’t’ care how my furniture was packed and got loaded in the Penske truck that the rented . They told me that they have their own truck.

As a consequence they lost some boxes , a floor rug , broke a floor lamp and my wood furniture sustained a lot of scratches.

I had moved before and I had never lost and got my funiture damaged so much.

Also they paid me a paltry $100 for all the damage sustained.

So beware .
